WorkForce 600: Initial Impressions

I finally had a chance to play with the WorkForce 600 today. So far, I am liking the device quite a bit. I was surprised how solid it felt. Epson obviously spent sometime with the industrial design and it paid off. Set up was a simple, I just went with the USB connection for now. I am planning to use the WiFi connectivity for my laptop but I have not gotten around to that just yet. So all I had to do was install the drivers and plug the the printer in.

The only tests I have been able to run today are printing a test page and then I scanned it into a PDF file. The both went quickly and smoothly, just like you would expect. The page was dry to the touch right off the tray which was a nice change from my old HP inkjet. The OCR software seemed good too, but I did notice the page scanned in at a slight angle but I am not sure if that was my fault or not. I have not had a chance to use any of the other features like the memory card reader, editing from the display or photo printing. Once I get a free minute or two to play some more, I update the post. Looks like the price changed again, so be sure to keep an eye on it.
