ProClip USA is a very neat site that stocks vehicle mount kits for just about every electronic device out there. The site has a great filter function to help streamline the shopping process that lets you quickly sort out products for your specific device(s). Prices for the device holders start at $24.99 and can run as much as $69.99 for out favorite model that adds audio pass through and the ability to tilt the mount to optimize the viewing angle. You will also need to add another $29.99 for the vehicle mount. Hey, we never said it would be cheap…just cool.

It does not get much better than tools that are both useful and cheap. Such is the case with the Trouble Flashlight Holder. It has a strong magnetic base making easy to mount your light just about anyway. Plus the neck is infinitely adjustable thanks to the including locking bolt giving you any angle needed. Finally toss in the ability to accommodate most any size flashlight and a price tag less than $9 and we are in heaven, a well lit heaven that is.

OK, the HK 1 Hydrokinetic Adjustable Wrench is one hell of a good idea. Using a what the manufacturer dubs a hyrdokinetic system the HK 1 is one wrench that can fits up to 23 different bolts or nuts from sizes between ¼ – ¾ inch or 7 – 19mm. Here is how its works: simply twist the valve to release the pressure. This allows you the adjust the piston to fit the bolt you are working on. Then just lock the valve and you are ready to go. For the average homeowner or a traveling toolkit the HK 1 makes a lot of sense. Its cheap, reasonably sized, it works the standard or metric measurements and handles damaged bolts or nuts with ease. I wish I would have thought it.

With the all great gadget available today, it can be challening to keep them all charged while on the road. Instead of buying – if you can even find one – a vehicle charger for every device you have, why not just use an inverter? We like this model not only because it fits neatly into a spare cup holder but it also has a USB port which is becoming more and more of a necessity these days. The fact that it is cheaper than even one typical vehicle charger, works for us too.

This looks like a nifty little gadget that could prove to be useful. It is a 3 axis level that snaps into the flash shoe. Not something what we would necessarily everyday but for those precision photos during an evidence inspection it could be pretty handy. [Via]

I am a heavy notebook user at both home and the office. A notebook is my primary work computer and I often find myself using my personal laptop more and more at home so I am not stuck in that office either. The one thing my desktop system has always had over my notebooks is the mouse. I cannot stand the track pad or pointing device that serves as the mouse on most laptops. If you are like me, then you will love the VX Nano.
It boasts all the features and comfort of your full size mouse but in a portable version. The USB receiver is smallest out there – I just leave it plugged in all the time. The batteries last for months too. The best part is no more sore fingers or wrist for me!

We hate having to run back to the truck every time we need a fresh set of batteries, a new memory card or anything else used on a site is needed. With this Mesh Gear Vest by Redington, those problems are history. Our favorite model had 6 front pockets and 1 large back pocket, all zippered and made from quick drying nylon mesh. If you have ever had to spends hours or days on a scene, you will love all the gear this vest can hold.

We have long been fans of the Pro-Fit brackets. They keep all our our mobile gear neat and organized without the hassle or eye sore of a windshield or goose neck mount. With the introduction the G3 system, good just got better.
Pro-Fit slimmed down the design making installation easier and added a much needed pivot ball. Before when you attached the phone holder or GPS system it was stuck in a fixed position. With the pivot ball and included extension arm you can position your device to whatever viewing angle you need.
These mounts are vehicle specific, so be sure you select the right one.

Let’s see our mouse, keyboard, cell phone, iPod, printer, scanner, external HDD, digital camera and thumb drive all connect via USB. I am not sure about the rest of you, but crawling around behind my desk to find an open port is not an enjoyable task. From the dozens of USB hubs we have used over the years, this compact unit from Cables to Go is our favorite.
For starters, the glossy black and aluminum case is quite classy. The base can be securely amounted but the hub can slide right out for easy transport when we hit the road. Plus its AC or PC powered to help keep all our gadgets charged.
