Last week my area was hit with a power outage that lasted about 4 days. I was pretty luckily to have a generator available that let me power my whole house aside from the energy pigs like washer, dryer and stove. But if you don't have access to a generator or just looking for a emergency power source to put in your briefcase or car, the Duracell PowerSource is my choice.

We are firm believers that you can never have too many flashlights on hand. Our favorites are LED based since they extend our power exponentially compared to traditional bulbs. Duracell has just launched a nice new model name the Daylite. Despite coming in under $25 the Daylite retains many of the features of higher end flashlights like a aircraft aluminum housing, an easily adjustable beam and a lifetime guarantee. It even comes with batteries. About the only thing we don't like is the styling at the end of the housing, which is only a minor aesthetic annoyance.
