Fall is the best season to spend a little time improving your lawn. Whether you are reseeding dead patches or trying to perk up large sun scorched areas, the cool temperatures and increased moisture are ideal grass growing conditions. Even so, consistent watering can make dramatic improvements to your results.

Unfortunately the best time to water is first thing in the morning right before sunrise. This gives the soil time to absorb all the water before the heat of the day and prevents mold growth that can occur from night watering.

Despite these benefits, I have never been motivated to drag a hose around the yard at 5 A.M. since I am not one of lucky ones with an in-ground sprinkler system. You can set up to three different zones to water on whatever days you like for up to 360 minutes. There is also a manual mode for those spontaneous watering session.
